About 9,000 birds have been killed in Kano State since the resurgence of avian flu in the state two weeks ago.

  The Director of State, Ministry of Agriculture and Natural Resources, Dr. Shehu Bawa told reporters on Thursday that the birds were killed in two poultry farms that had been infected with the disease in the state. More details are to be revealed in time.
