Alleged Robbery: Three Men Docked

Three men — Eric Ahouso (22), Shina Agbosi (32), and Wale Fatai (23) — appeared before an Ikeja Magistrates Court in Ikeja over alleged armed robbery.

  The police arraigned them before Magistrate (Mrs.) O.A. Olayinka, accusing them of robbing N265,000.   The defendants reportedly armed themselves with a gun and other offensive weapons and used them to dispossess their victim, Habibat Musa, of a Samsung Galaxy phone valued at N85,000, a Nokia phone valued at N3,500, and cash totaling N150,000.   The men allegedly committed the offence on September 24, 2015, at Sabonkoji Village, Amuwo Odofin Local Government Area of Lagos State.   The court charged them with conspiracy and armed robbery, and the police brought the two-count charge against them.   They pleaded not guilty to the charges, which the prosecutor, Inspector Benson Emuerli, said carry punishments under sections 297 and 295(2)(a) of the Criminal Laws of Lagos State, 2011.   The court adjourned the hearing to December 7, 2015.
