APC Deputy National Publicity Secretary, Timi Frank, said internal crises could stop the party from winning the Bayelsa governorship election later this year.

  In an interview with Vanguard, Frank blamed the party’s candidate, Timipre Sylva, for arrogance and poor outreach. He warned that unresolved grievances within the party threaten its chances.   Frank apologized to Governor Adams Oshiomhole, saying Bayelsans are responsible people despite the problems during the primaries. He noted that many aspirants remain aggrieved but fear speaking out, which he described as dangerous for the party.   “Sylva has not reached out to me or other credible Bayelsans after the primaries. We are still divided, and until we resolve these issues, APC cannot win Bayelsa,” he said.   Frank urged Sylva to lobby party members, make peace, and appeal to Bayelsans. “He needs us; we don’t need him. He must talk to Bayelsans because every vote counts. If he thinks APC will use federal power to rig, then he is wrong,” Frank added.   He also accused Sylva of ignoring consultations and making unilateral decisions.
