Tragedy struck on Wednesday, September 10, 2025, at Utah Valley University in Orem, Utah, when conservative activist and Turning Point USA founder Charlie Kirk was shot and killed during a campus event. Kirk, 31, was addressing a crowd of approximately 3,000 people as part of his “American Comeback Tour” when a single bullet was fired from a rooftop building nearly 200 yards away, striking him in the neck.

The incident occurred around 12:20 p.m. MDT during a Q&A session, with attendees describing the scene as chaotic and panic-stricken. Kirk was rushed to a nearby hospital, where he was pronounced dead. The suspected shooter remains at large, and authorities are reviewing security footage to identify the perpetrator.
