Chelsea head coach, Mauricio Pochettino has been dismissed by the club. The club announced this decision in a statement released on the club’s website on Tuesday evening.

“Chelsea FC can confirm that the Club and Mauricio Pochettino have mutually agreed to part ways. “Sporting Directors Laurence Stewart and Paul Winstanley expressed his gratitude for Mauricio services.’ Mauricio Pochettino said: ‘Thank you to the Chelsea ownership group and Sporting Directors for the opportunity to be part of this football club’s history. The Club is now well positioned to keep moving forward in the Premier League and Europe in the years to come.’ “Jesus Perez, Miguel d’Agostino, Toni Jimenez and Sebastiano Pochettino have left the club with Mauricio. “The Club will be making no further comment until such time as a new Head Coach is appointed.” Pochettino’s tenure at Chelsea was tumultuous to say the least with the club finishing 6th and barely impressing in domestic cup competitions, losing the Carabao cup final to Liverpool. The club has been through four coaches since January, 2023, with Pochettino the only coach to spend a full season.
