Sheffield United manager Chris Wilder is set to depart at the end of the season following the club’s unsuccessful bid for Premier League promotion. The decision comes after the Blades fell short in the Championship playoff final, losing 2-1 to Sunderland despite an early lead.

Chris Wilder, who returned to Bramall Lane in December 2023, guided the team to a third-place finish, narrowly missing automatic promotion behind Leeds United and Burnley. However, the club’s new owners, COH Sports, are reportedly looking for a fresh approach, with Ruben Selles, formerly of Hull City, emerging as a potential replacement.
