Former Argentine President Cristina Fernández de Kirchner has entered a fresh legal battle as she stands trial for allegedly accepting millions of dollars in bribes during her presidency from 2007 to 2015. The trial began on November 6, 2025 and Kirchner, currently serving a six-year sentence under house arrest for a separate fraud conviction, is accused of leading a criminal enterprise that exchanged state contracts for illicit payments.
