The death toll from a migrant shipwreck off the coast of Malaysia has risen to 13, with authorities continuing to search for survivors.

The boat, carrying undocumented migrants from Myanmar, capsized near Thailand’s Tarutao Island, with around 70 people on board, many of whom are believed to be from the persecuted Rohingya community. The Malaysian Maritime Enforcement Agency (MMEA) and Thai authorities have launched a joint search and rescue operation.
