US President Donald Trump is set to host the presidents of Rwanda and the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) at the White House on Thursday to sign a landmark peace agreement aimed at ending decades of conflict in the region.

The agreement, brokered by the US, aims to address long-standing security concerns, including the neutralization of the Democratic Forces for the Liberation of Rwanda (FDLR), a militia formed by remnants of the perpetrators of the 1994 Genocide against the Tutsi.  Also Read: Ukraine Suspends Justice Minister Amid $100M Energy Corruption Scandal
