For the first time in history, the Belgium national team have climbed to the top of the FIFA ranking. The Red Devils, as the Belgian national team is known, climbed two places to replace Argentina national team who has been demoted to the 3rd position.

Following closely is the national team of Germany which maintained the 2nd position. Other top achievers on the November FIFA ranking are: Chile (5th, up 4), England (9th, up 1) and Austria (10th, up 1). The Belgian national team is on course to win the ”˜Team of the Year’ title, if they retained the top spot of the FIFA ranking. The Super Eagles of Nigeria moved up the FIFA ranking by one place.
