At least 37 people have been confirmed dead after devastating flash floods struck the coastal city of Safi in western Morocco on Sunday. The floods were triggered by torrential rains that lasted for just over an hour, overwhelming homes, shops, and roads in the old town.

Local authorities reported that 14 survivors are currently receiving medical care, while rescue teams continue to search for missing residents.
