France and the United Kingdom have agreed to coordinate their independent nuclear deterrence strategies for the first time.

The announcement was made during French President Emmanuel Macron’s state visit to Britain, where he and Prime Minister Keir Starmer emphasized unity in the face of rising global threats. “This sends a clear message to our adversaries,” Starmer said, “that any extreme threat to Europe will be met with a joint response.” Also Read: China and Egypt Strengthen Ties
