Global Cocaine Market Sees Sharp Growth, UNODC Reports

A new report by the UN Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC) notes a significant increase in global cocaine activity, with production, seizures, and use all reaching new heights.

“Cocaine markets are rapidly evolving and expanding, especially in regions where they’ve previously been less established,” said Ghada Waly, Executive Director of UNODC. The report highlights Colombia’s ongoing role in global production and draws attention to rising demand in regions such as Europe, Africa, and Asia.
