A Greek-operated cargo vessel, The Eternity C, sank off the coast of Yemen earlier today following a devastating Houthi rebel attack, making it one of the deadliest maritime incidents in the Red Sea this year.

The Eternity C, flying a Liberian flag and operated by a Greek firm, was targeted over two consecutive days by sea drones, cruise missiles, and speedboats. The Houthis claimed responsibility, citing the ship’s alleged ties to Israeli ports as justification.
