Hamas has not yet issued a formal response to U.S. President Donald Trump’s proposed plan for Gaza, while Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has voiced support for the initiative, stating that Israeli forces would remain in much of the territory. The 20-point plan outlines a ceasefire, the release of hostages by Hamas within 72 hours, the group’s disarmament, and a phased Israeli withdrawal. It also proposes a post-war transitional authority led by Trump. On Monday, a senior Hamas official said the group had not received the plan.
