MASSOB leader, Chief Ralph Uwazuruike, urged Igbos to ignore Governor Rochas Okorocha’s views on Biafra. He said Okorocha’s frequent opposition to MASSOB’s efforts showed him as a saboteur of the Igbo cause.   In a statement released in Onitsha through MASSOB’s Deputy Director of Information, Mazi Chris Mocha, Uwazuruike acknowledged Okorocha’s constitutional right to speak but said the governor lacked authority to decide Igbo affairs.   He accused Okorocha of supporting the APC-led Federal Government in its marginalisation of the Igbo. He also alleged that Okorocha funded a central mosque near the Government House in Owerri against Igbo interests.   At a MASSOB meeting in Ojukwu Memorial Library, Owerri, Uwazuruike vowed to achieve an independent Biafra without violence during his lifetime. “If I fail to get Biafra, I will have failed in my life’s mission,” he said.   He praised MASSOB’s clean record, noting that no member had faced charges of robbery, kidnapping, or theft.
