India’s First Astronaut Reaches International Space Station

Group Captain Shubhanshu Shukla of the Indian Air Force has become the first Indian astronaut to reach the International Space Station (ISS), making it a milestone for India’s space program.

Shukla is part of the Axiom Mission 4 (Ax-4) crew, which launched earlier this week and in a live address from space, he said, “It is a privilege to be among the few who have had the chance to see Earth from such a vantage point.” Also Read: Diogo Jota Dies at 28
