India’s Forex Reserves Climb to $698.95 Billion

India’s foreign exchange reserves rose by $2.29 billion to reach $698.95 billion, according to data released by the Reserve Bank of India (RBI). The increase was driven by gains in foreign currency assets and gold holdings. RBI Governor Sanjay Malhotra said: “India’s external sector remains resilient as key vulnerability indicators continue to improve.
