At least three people have lost their lives and 38 remain trapped following the collapse of an Islamic school building in Indonesia.

The incident occurred on Monday on Java, Indonesia’s largest island, as students had assembled for afternoon prayers. The multi-storey structure, located in the town of Sidoarjo, drew crowds of anxious families and rescue teams hoping for updates on those inside.
