Japan has urged all parties involved in the recent escalation surrounding Iran to exercise restraint and prioritize diplomatic efforts. The call follows U.S. airstrikes on Iranian nuclear facilities and heightened tensions between Iran and Israel.

Foreign Minister Takeshi Iwaya described the situation as “extremely regrettable,” particularly the ongoing cycle of retaliation.
