Mrs. Bolanle Ambode, wife of the Lagos State Governor, urged women to stay strong and resilient despite challenges such as healthcare issues, unemployment, and lack of opportunities.

She made the call in her goodwill message at the 2015 Arise Women Conference held at the City of David Church, Victoria Island.   Speaking on the theme “The Set Time,” Mrs. Ambode said God’s appointed time for women will never fail. She stressed that women play a vital role in shaping nations, starting from the home. According to her, the family mirrors society, and the quality of families reflects in a nation’s strength.   Mrs. Ambode reminded women that as managers of the home, they must care for their husbands and raise children in the fear of God. She urged them to teach honesty, morality, hard work, and good character so children can grow into productive, God-fearing citizens.   The wife of the Vice President, Pastor (Mrs.) Dolapo Osinbajo, also spoke at the event. She encouraged Nigerians to keep praying for the country and to continue declaring blessings until the nation prospers.   Mrs. Osinbajo praised the convener for sustaining the vision of the conference and commended the organizers for their dedication.   Pastor Siju Iluyomade, the convener, declared that the time had come for the country to move forward, adding that faith must drive this progress.   The event climaxed with awards to Mrs. Osinbajo and Mrs. Ambode for their support. A new book, “Arise,” was also unveiled.   Dignitaries at the conference included the wives of governors of Edo, Kwara, and Akwa Ibom, former First Ladies of Lagos, Osun, Benue, and Ekiti, Mrs. Bola Obasanjo, former Lagos Deputy Governor Princess Sarah Sosan, Princess Orelope Adefulire, Hon. Abike Dabiri, Chief Mrs. Kemi Nelson, among others.     Also Read: China and Egypt Strengthen Ties
