Liam Payne’s ex-partner Cheryl Cole speaks out about his tragic death, focusing on their seven-year-old son Bear, who now faces never seeing his father again. Payne, 31, died when he fell from a third-floor hotel balcony in Buenos Aires, Argentina.
Cheryl criticizes “abhorrent” media coverage, posting on Instagram: “We have lost a human being… I’d like to remind everyone to consider the impact of their words.” She shares a photo of Payne and Bear, expressing concern about her son accessing hurtful reports in the future.
“What is troubling my spirit the most is that one day Bear will have access to the abhorrent reports and media exploitation… I cannot protect him from that in his future,” Cheryl says, urging people to think before sharing comments or videos ¹.
Simon Cowell also pays tribute, calling Payne “kind, funny, sweet, thoughtful, and talented,” saying he’s “heartbroken” and feels “empty” after the singer’s death.
