Man City celebrates fourth straight EPL title

By Editor

Premier league giants, Manchester City have won the EPL title for a record fourth consecutive season beating Manchester United’s record of three in a row. The last year UCL winners managed to clinch the title following a final day 3 – 1 victory over West Ham united, a victory which meant they had 91 points, 2 points ahead of runners up Arsenal who had 89 points. Arsenal will have to settle for a second consecutive runner-up with their own improved performances not being enough to knock Man City from their perch. Despite the departures of key players like Ilkay Gundogan to Barcelona and Riyadh Mahrez to Saudi Arabia, the man city’s stacked rooster of players have risen up to the occasion. The injury of playmaker maestro Kevin De Bruyne in the earlier part of the season didn’t seem to drastically affect their performance. In fact they go 35 games unbeaten with midfield star Rodri going a personal best of 50 games unbeaten. Like last season, Erling Haaland claims this year’s EPL golden boot for highest goal scorer. The Cityzens will be hoping to do the double when they meet Manchester United at Wembley in the FA cup final on Saturday, 25th of May, 2024.
