By Reporter 5

The Nigerian Presidency has firmly denied reports claiming that President Bola Ahmed Tinubu is scheduled to meet with United States President Donald Trump over allegations of genocide against Christians in Nigeria. The report, which surfaced over the weekend, alleged that Tinubu would travel to the United States on Tuesday, November 4, 2025, to engage in high-level diplomatic talks regarding accusations of religious persecution and threats of military intervention by the U.S. government. It further claimed that Trump had delegated Vice President James David Vance to meet with Tinubu during the visit. However, Temitope Ajayi, Senior Special Assistant to the President on Media and Publicity, dismissed the claims on Monday morning, describing them as “false and misleading.” Ajayi clarified that there is no scheduled meeting between President Tinubu and either President Trump or Vice President Vance, and no trip to the United States is planned for November 4.
