Russia Plane Crash Leaves Nearly 50 Feared Dead in Amur Region

A tragic plane crash in Russia’s Far East has left almost 50 people feared dead, including children, after a Soviet-era Antonov An-24 aircraft went down near the remote town of Tynda in the Amur region.

The aircraft, operated by Angara Airlines, was en route from Khabarovsk to Blagoveshchensk and onward to Tynda when it disappeared from radar.
