Syrian First Lady Diagnosed with Leukemia

Syrian President Bashar al-Assad’s wife Asma al-Assad has been diagnosed with leukemia. This was confirmed in a statement released by the Syrian presidency. The statement released on social media reads thus: “After presenting with several symptoms and clinical signs and clinical signs and following a comprehensive series of medical tests and examinations. The first lady, Asma al- Assad has been diagnosed with Acute Myeloid Leukemia (AML). ” Consequently, the First Lady will adhere to specialized treatment that includes stringent infection prevention measures and appropriate social distancing. “The first lady will directly withdraw from all directly engagements as part of her treatment plan. Throughout this phase, she remains determined and committed, supported by her strong will and faith in God.” Miss al-Assad has been reported to have survived breast cancer in 2019
