The death toll from the catastrophic flooding that swept across Central Texas earlier this month has climbed to 136.

The floods, triggered by torrential rains, devastated communities along the Guadalupe River and surrounding Hill Country. Kerr County remains the hardest hit, with 107 confirmed fatalities, including 37 children, many of whom were attending summer camps when the floodwaters surged.
