President Donald Trump, speaking live from the White House on Wednesday night, promised Americans an “economic boom the likes of which the world has never seen” in 2026.

He claimed that prices of gas and groceries were “falling rapidly”, insisting his administration was fixing what he described as the economic “mess” left behind by his predecessor, Joe Biden. In a surprise announcement, Trump said 1.45 million U.S. military service members would each receive a “warrior dividend” bonus check of $1,776 before Christmas, funded by tariff revenues.
