Malaysian billionaire Vincent Tan, owner of Cardiff City Football Club, is reportedly set to reject a £40 million takeover bid from Welsh football legend Gareth Bale.

Sources close to the negotiations say Vincent Tan views the offer as “derisory,” especially considering his £200 million plus investment into the club since acquiring it in 2010.  “It’s a club close to my heart,” Bale told Sky Sports. “I would love to be a part of growing Cardiff and taking it to the Premier League, where it belongs.” Also Read: Peter Rufai (Dodo Mayana) Dies at 61
