The world’s largest celebration of arts and culture officially begins today as the 2025 Edinburgh Festival Fringe and the Edinburgh International Festival (EIF) open their doors to audiences from around the globe.

This year’s Festival features a staggering 54,474 performances across 3,853 shows, with artists from 63 countries performing in venues throughout the Scottish capital. From comedy and theatre to dance, musicals, and children’s entertainment, the festival promises a vibrant and diverse lineup that will run until August 25.
